The campaign committee of state representative 44th district candidate James B Durkin, Citizens for Durkin, returned a $4,200 contribution from Exelon Generation Co. LLC on April 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Exelon Generation Co. LLC has not made any other contributions to James B Durkin in the past 12 months.
