Cost of college went up for all students at Chamberlain University-Illinois

Tuition and fees rose 0.8 percent for 2017-18 at Chamberlain University-Illinois, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $19,375 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year $145 more than the $19,230 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 73 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 4 students received grants or scholarships totaling $20,275 and 11 students took out student loans totaling more than $92,202.

Including all undergraduates, 9,618 students used grants or scholarships totaling $22.5 million. Another 9,932 took out $88.68 million in federal student loans.
