A. EN-R-0128-18 RESOLUTION -- Intergovernmental Agreement Between the City of Naperville and the County of DuPage to Provide Funding for the Operation of a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility - Not to exceed $100,000

Chair Grant's recapitulation to the committee members was that the Naperville Hazardous Household Facility has full funding until June 30, 2018, and after the 30th of June, new terms will have to be negotiated.

Nick Kottmeyer, the director of Operations, stated that Chair Grant was correct and that Jim Stran, Building and Zoning Department's Manager, along with staff including himself are in constant communication with Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and Naperville to hopefully ensure the continued success of this facility, as it is a very well-run facility and one of the busiest within the state.

Member Krajewski inquired if other funding partners could increase their funding. Director Kottmeyer informed that the City of Naperville is reviewing all options at this point regarding funding.

Mr. Kottmeyer also informed the committee members that our legislators are very much involved in this process and that all parties are aware of the funding levels, however decisions still must be made, we are unsure what lies ahead with the funding and exactly what the directives will be for the Naperville Hazardous Household Facility.
