Naperville mother sees Sanders talk as 'private brainwashing'

Sanders

At least one Naperville mother is calling on area parents to complain to high school administrators about a recent book signing by former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders.

Sanders came to town to talk about the "Bernie Sanders Guide to Political Revolution," a book that the Chicago Tribune described as a guide for teens to better understand the government and policies and give them insight on how to organize for various causes.

Sanders visited Naperville North and Central high schools, where he spoke to a select group of sophomores, according to the mother, Christine Wik.

"Sound like private brainwashing sessions to our young adults?" Wik posted on Facebook. "This is where we parents make a difference."

Wik ended by urging parents to discuss the book signing with their schoolchildren and reach out to the schools with complaints.
