Ex-Bloomingdale Bears hockey player fast-becoming Blackhawks star

Former Bloomingdale Bears hockey player Ryan Hartman is a regular scorer this season for the Chicago Blackhawks, according to the NHL team's website.

Hartman, who plays right wing for the Blackhawks, scored six goals in 32 games through Dec. 29 and had 12 points overall in that span. He scored his first career NHL goal on Opening Night, Oct. 12, against the St. Louis Blues at home.

Also, Hartman had 8 penalty minutes, two game-winning goal and had taken 64 shots with a 9.4 shooting percentage.

According to www.hockey-reference.com, Hartman averaged 12 minutes, 23 seconds of time on the ice per game in the first 32 games. Prior to this season, he appeared in five games with Chicago in the 2014-15 season, with an average ice time of 8:17, then made three appearances in 2015-16 and averaged 9:14 of ice time. He had one assist over his first eight NHL games.
