Candidate nomination packets for the seats of mayor, Village Clerk, and the three trustee positions in Roselle will be available for pickup Sept. 20.
Each of the seats will be on the Consolidation Election ballot April 4, 2017. Candidates can pick up the packets at Village Hall, 31 S. Prospect St..
Election law prohibits the nominating petitions for the April 4, 2017 election to be distributed before Sept. 20.
The Village Clerk’s Office will accept nomination packets during the filing period at Village Hall Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The nomination packet filing period for the positions is Dec. 12-19.
The Village Clerk’s Office provides the candidate packets at no charge. Each candidate should take it upon themselves to speak with legal counsel on requirements for running for an elected position.
