Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) records show that 63.9 percent of Addison Trail High School's (ATHS) 2015 graduating class enrolled in college within 12 months of graduation.
The 2015 state average for students in public schools was 70 percent.
For ATHS, its college enrollment rate marks an improvement over 2014, when 63.3 percent of its graduates chose post-secondary education.
Enrollment at ATHS in 2015 was 2,060; 522 (25.34 percent) were seniors.
Also according to ISBE, 33.3 percent of ATHS seniors were "college ready" in 2015, versus an average of 46 percent statewide.
All students who score a 21 on the ACT qualify as "college ready."
mong high schools in DuPage, the class of 2015 college readiness rates at Hinsdale Central High School (87.1 percent), Wheaton North High School (71.3 percent), Glenbard South High School (64.3 percent), Woodstock High School (54 percent) and Willowbrook High School (49.8 percent) were all higher than at ATHS.
ATHS students did better on math (30 percent) and English (49.5 percent) and worse on science (24.9 percent) and reading (29.1 percent).
Only 14.2 percent of ATHS students were college ready in all four subjects, according to ISBE.
