Warrenville recognized as one of Illinois' safest cities

Warrenville2

Warrenville was named one of the 50 Safest Cities in Illinois Wednesday.

The Warrenville Police Department was recognized for leading the way with a strong, efficient police force and effective leadership.

The list of the safest cities in the state was produced by BackgroundChecks.org, which uses data from FBI Crime Reports, natural language analysis, social media sentiment analysis and other research to determine rankings. Warrenville came in 19th on the list.

"This is a true achievement, which is a result of city government, police and residents working together to ensure that Warrenville is safe," Jason Quimby, the organization’s director of outreach, said. "It's a true testament to great policing, strong leadership, and community involvement,” added public safety analyst Jessica Pierce. In a world full of bad news, it's great to have something positive for residents, and it's something to be proud of."
