Elmhurst City Council to discuss road projects, parade plans tonight

The Elmhurst City Council will review and approve accounts payable totaling nearly $3 million and consider several pending contracts and ordinances at its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. today in City Hall Council Chambers, 209 N. York St.

The council will begin the meeting in executive session at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the acquisition of property and any pending litigation or personnel issues. After this closed session, the council will review and is expected to approve accounts payable expenditures of $2,808,767.32.

The council also will hear reports on the Sanitary Sewer Clean & Televise Project, the project to replace two rooftop units at Elmhurst City Hall, lift-station improvements and city street-resurfacing projects.

The council will also hear updates on upcoming Elmhurst events, including the St. Patrick’s Day and Memorial Day Parades and the Elmhurst Running Club’s 4 on the 4th fun run.

The agenda also includes consideration of ordinances regarding property transactions and a resolution authorizing the execution of an inter-governmental agreement (IGA) between the City of Elmhurst, the State of Illinois and the Elmhurst Park District on the construction and maintenance of stormwater-infrastructure upgrades in York Commons Park.
