Oak Brook trustees hear church presentation, hotel marketing strategy

Oabrook

Oak Brook recently held its regular meeting of the president and Board of Trustees.

After preliminary housekeeping duties, Dave Melvin, a representative from Christ Church of Oak Brook, made a presentation on the church's history. Walter Morrissey, the church's legal counsel, then talked about an application for a special-use permit the church will submit soon. Melvin's presentation included slides concerning a project.

Rob Grusin of Point B Communication then spoke about the 2016 Hotels of Oak Brook Marketing Plan.

The consent agenda included several accounts-payable items, including over $245,000 in legal expenses, a retainer fee for advertising agency services and the purchase of several vehicles.

Ordinances and resolutions were considered, including the authorization of several purchases and contract agreements.

The board also discussed deferral of a grant of easement to the Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District for the construction and operation of a sanitary lift station.
