The Village of Lisle, Illinois, is encouraging residents to help prevent identify theft and related crimes by utilizing a website.

IDThisPerson.com gives law enforcement agencies across the country the opportunity to post photos of suspects associated with various crimes.

The public can browse the photos by state and zip code. If a resident recognizes someone, they can click on the picture and enter the suspect’s information such as name, address, employer and vehicle driven. The information is then sent to the police department that originally posted the picture.

Residents may submit information anonymously or provide an email address for a follow-up. If the information provided leads to the initial identification of a suspect, the person will receive a $25 gift card for a business of their choice through a link in an email that will be sent to them.

Lisle Village Hall is at 925 Burlington Ave., Lisle.
