Open house to discuss updated floodplain maps slated for July 29

Open house to discuss updated floodplain maps slated for July 29

An open house has been scheduled for July 29 to review the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) updated preliminary floodplain maps for all DuPage County, Illinois, communities.

The open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DuPage County Government Center, Jack T. Knuepfer Building, Auditorium, located at 421 County Farm Road.

During the open house, Flood Insurance Study reports will be presented. A discussion relating to the process of reviewing and adopting the documents, as well as soliciting public comment, will be held as well.

Representatives from the Illinois State Water Survey, FEMA and DuPage County will be in attendance to answer questions about the preliminary floodplain maps.
