The city of Warrenville said the DuPage River Salt Creek Workgroup is conducting a bioassessment in DuPage and Cook counties from June to September.
The workgroup will survey fish, macroinvertebrates, physical habitat and water column and sediment chemistry at 41 sites in the West Branch DuPage River watershed, which includes Warrenville.
Information gathered is used to assess the overall health of local rivers and streams, as well as identify and evaluate projects to improve water quality.
