Downers Grove's drinking water meets, exceeds government standards

Downers

The Village of Downers Grove recently released its annual Water Quality Report (WQR), which contains important information about the source and quality of the area's drinking water during 2014.

The report is required by the Environmental Protection Agency, under the 1996 amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Based on the WQR, the quality of the water provided by the village meets or exceeds all state and federal standards.

A paper copy of the report is available by calling 630-434-5500. Copies are also available at the Village Hall and from the Public Works Department by request.
