The Village of Woodbridge Board will hold an inauguration ceremony next month for individuals elected village trustee in the April 7 election, incumbents Mike Martinez, Mary Anne Blair and Gregory Abbott and newly elected member of the board Mike Krucek.
The board also will need to fill the position of Trustee Tim Goodwin, who will resign his post in May to relocate out of state for a job opportunity.
"I am proud to have served the Woodridge community for nine years, and cherish the fond memories I have of living here," said Goodwin, who served seven years on the planning commission and on the board since elected in 2013. "I will miss my colleagues, but look forward to seeing the great progress that the board and the community will continue to make. I look forward to this new chapter in my life."
Krucek previously served as a member of the police pension board for six years, which leaves a vacancy on that panel.
The village will seek to fill both the trustee and police pension board vacancies. Applications for the vacancies are due no later than May 22.
