Students at Northern Illinois University (NIU) will be able to learn more about the Student Engagement Fund at an information session to be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The information session will focus on the fund, which is a collaborative effort by the Office of Student Engagement and Experiential Learning and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to provide a stipend to students working on faculty-mentored research projects and to support undergraduate student engagement projects.
The meeting will be held in DuSable Hall, 280 DuSable Hall in DeKalb.
NIU was originally founded as Northern Illinois State Normal School in 1895. NIU is located in DeKalb, with satellite centers in Hoffman Estates, Naperville, Rockford and Oregon.
NIU has seven degree-granting colleges and a student body of 25,000.
